Bus

One of our family's goals this year is to get a bus and convert it to greisel and into an RV with bunks, a bathroom, a kitchenette, dining sets, and a grand master bedroom. We are all so stink'n excited we can hardly stand it! It would man we could travel around the country for free (fuel & lodging wise). Last night we went to look at the perfect bus for our family. It only $6000.00. However, that is $6,000.00 more than we have right now. We just got out of debt. But it was so tempting! We will just have to work, save, and wait! I'm glad Heavenly Father helped us keep His commandments.

Night Driving

Jessica is close to getting her driver's license. She just has the test and finishing her 10 hours of night driving. We ask went our as a family for a couple hours this evening. We were blessed to get back safely and we were blessed to listen to Conference talks on the way. The later was very important because Jaremy and I were at each others throats for a bit. It helped me humble myself and repent.

Saturday Morning

We slept in this morning. In fact, I am still in bed pondering scriptures and the teachings of the prophets. What a blessing to take a relaxed moment to soak in the Word of God and feel His Spirit. Perhaps I have been to rushed to take enough time to really feast on the scriptures. I must slow down and calm down and invite the Lord's guidance by taking plenty of time to study the scriptures, pray, ponder, and share the Gospel with more love with my dear children. I'm so grateful for a testimony of my loving Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son. I hope I can live true to this testimony.

Visiting

Yesterday we were blessed to go visit my mom and dad and Grandma Keller.  Our van drove perfectly; we made the trip in safety and warmth; and enjoyed snacks along the way.  We are so blessed with ease and comfort.  We enjoyed a nice visit.  The kids love seeing their grandparents and playing with the toys and dress-ups there.

Today I am fasting and praying, trying to prepare myself spiritually to attend the temple this evening.  I feel I have analyzed my life and carefully chosen the path I think Heavenly Father wants me to take.  Yet it seems almost impossible to do everything necessary.  So I need to turn to the Lord, humble myself, work hard, and somehow stay focused on many different balls in the air.  My most important goal and mission statement is:  Simply follow Christ, speaking with the tongue of angels, while scattering sunshine all along the way.  I can do that no matter how long my to-do list is.  Heavenly Father will teach me and guide me on how to accomplish the rest.  So today in a weaken state from fasting I am begging the Lord to help strengthen my resolve, my diligence, my faith, my hope, my vision, and my love for others.

Great Vacation

We had a great time in St. George. We camped, hiked, and enjoyed each others company. We soaked in the sun during the day and froze in our tents at night. Well, actually after the first night a bought a lot more sleeping bags and that helped a ton. I'm grateful to be in a warm, soft bed tonight without having to try to keep wiggly toddlers in their bedding all night and nursing in the cold. Adelynn woke up and cried a lot while camping, so I'm so excited to get some good sleep tonight. Camping makes me pray for ask those who don't have basic needs met or who don't have a warm, soft bed in a safe warm home. I'm so very blessed.

Packing

Packing is a huge thing to do before a camping trip. We will camp five days and four nights in St. George starting tomorrow. We are all excited; however, it does seem a trick to keep everyone on task. Jaremy has encouraged me to take time to meet with each child and go over the goal and plans and responsiblities with them individually. Finding time for that seems a bit crazy! But we can and will do it!  It will help each child contribute and take care of stewardships while eliminating nagging from Mom. I'm excited to try this new method. Heavenly Father will bless us with better leadership capabilityif we turn to Him.

Early Morning

I'm up! I've read my scriptures, but I'm still tired. The dang dogs! And Adelynn got up too. But we will eventually get everyone to sleep through the night!

Today we get to teach the kids about managing their money. I'm excited to read with the little ones and help them with their school. I'm grateful Heavenly Father has blessed me to homeschool my dear ones!
