Visiting

Yesterday we were blessed to go visit my mom and dad and Grandma Keller.  Our van drove perfectly; we made the trip in safety and warmth; and enjoyed snacks along the way.  We are so blessed with ease and comfort.  We enjoyed a nice visit.  The kids love seeing their grandparents and playing with the toys and dress-ups there.

Today I am fasting and praying, trying to prepare myself spiritually to attend the temple this evening.  I feel I have analyzed my life and carefully chosen the path I think Heavenly Father wants me to take.  Yet it seems almost impossible to do everything necessary.  So I need to turn to the Lord, humble myself, work hard, and somehow stay focused on many different balls in the air.  My most important goal and mission statement is:  Simply follow Christ, speaking with the tongue of angels, while scattering sunshine all along the way.  I can do that no matter how long my to-do list is.  Heavenly Father will teach me and guide me on how to accomplish the rest.  So today in a weaken state from fasting I am begging the Lord to help strengthen my resolve, my diligence, my faith, my hope, my vision, and my love for others.

Great Vacation

We had a great time in St. George. We camped, hiked, and enjoyed each others company. We soaked in the sun during the day and froze in our tents at night. Well, actually after the first night a bought a lot more sleeping bags and that helped a ton. I'm grateful to be in a warm, soft bed tonight without having to try to keep wiggly toddlers in their bedding all night and nursing in the cold. Adelynn woke up and cried a lot while camping, so I'm so excited to get some good sleep tonight. Camping makes me pray for ask those who don't have basic needs met or who don't have a warm, soft bed in a safe warm home. I'm so very blessed.

Packing

Packing is a huge thing to do before a camping trip. We will camp five days and four nights in St. George starting tomorrow. We are all excited; however, it does seem a trick to keep everyone on task. Jaremy has encouraged me to take time to meet with each child and go over the goal and plans and responsiblities with them individually. Finding time for that seems a bit crazy! But we can and will do it!  It will help each child contribute and take care of stewardships while eliminating nagging from Mom. I'm excited to try this new method. Heavenly Father will bless us with better leadership capabilityif we turn to Him.

Early Morning

I'm up! I've read my scriptures, but I'm still tired. The dang dogs! And Adelynn got up too. But we will eventually get everyone to sleep through the night!

Today we get to teach the kids about managing their money. I'm excited to read with the little ones and help them with their school. I'm grateful Heavenly Father has blessed me to homeschool my dear ones!

Cutest Little Muffin

Adelynn is learning to talk. She is so dang cute! We all adore her!! She says "Ease!" so sweetly that we give her about whatever she wants. Heavenly Father has blessed me so much to be her mother! I want to be better for and because of my dear children.

Driving

Out family loves driving together and having adventures. We are so blessed with a van that runs on natural gas so it its cheap and clean to drive. We make lots of memories sailing along the roads. Today w drove to Toole for the first time. On Thursday we are heading to St. George for a camping trip. It should be a ton of fun. Heavenly Father has bless us to have fun and adventures as family.

Organization

Oh, I just about get giddy about organizing!!! And labeling is even better!!!  You can organize until the cows come home, but until everything is labeled it will not stay organized.  I can't remember where everything is supposed to go and my children can't either.  Especially, if we find "it" doesn't work there and has to be moved.  Labels save the order and make it easy to change if needed.

Today we spent most of the day organizing the basement.  I had a ton of fun!  We got cleaning supplies, the 72 hour kit, bathroom supplies, bottled goods, totes, and buckets all in order.  It feels so good.  Of course, we could improve with more shelves and such, but it is pretty nice.  I'm grateful Heavenly Father is a God of Order and wants us to be organized too.
