Jaremy has been in Arizona on business for five days. The kids and I thought it would be fun to surprise him by painting the living room while he was away. We ripped out an ugly knick-knack shelf from the sixties, moved furniture around, prepped for painting, and drove in. We painted the walls a cheery yellow (Spun Honey), the floor a lovely green (Pacific Pine) which we antiqued, and the wood furniture and cabinets an antiqued white. It took us several crazy days, but the kids worked their guts out. We took turns painting, cleaning, cooking, and playing with the little ones. Thank goodness Jessica has her driver's license because during home improvement projects we make several trips to Lowes a day. Jaremy comes home in four hours or so. Hopefully, he will love it as much as we do! It is playful, cheerful, and full of energy. Herriman is a coded brown town, so a punch of color is an oasis. A still have 8 coats of polyurethane to go and several other details, but it's coming along. Hopefully, the kids will feel happy about it and feel comfortable about inviting friends over now and again. I'm grateful Heavenly Father blessed us with finding the right colors (the green floor was an answer to prayer, because everything else wasn't quoting). He also blessed us to enjoy working together and have us enough energy when a were tired and still in the thick of it. Heavenly Father truly cares about all the aspects of our lives.
Today we enjoyed the Sabbath by taking a beautiful walk in Bluffdale on the Jordan River Parkway after church and naps. The kids are so cute and fun! From the oldest through the youngest they delight my heart and make my soul sing. Praise to the Lord! He has given me these precious, precious gems. They are my dear, dear friends! I pray I can show them how much I adore and cherish them!
